A: yes, that is one way to install it.

Q: What is exactly need to attach it to the lower valence?

A: Five 6mm bolts. (supplied) If you don't want to drill any holes in the valance, you might choose to get a tube of silicone glue and glue it on or some of the 3M double sided bodyshop tape and tape it on..Back to drilling the holes for a moment, if you do not have x-ray vision goggles, the easiest way to translate the location of the holes in the diffuser to the valance is to:
1) Get a piece of paper the same size as the diffuser and lay it over the diffuser and mark the holes on the paper.
2) Then put the paper on your car and mark the holes on the valance.
3) Drill away.

Q: Also, most important of course, do you have any idea if it actually works ??

A: Of course it doesn't work in any noticeable way, it is a cosmetic add on just like the original urethane one on the actually for sale version of the JDM NSX-R. For it to "work" you would need to put a flat pan under the gas tank & motor and put fins on the diffuser that stuck far enough out into the air stream that every time you went through a dip/rain gutter/entered a steep driveway they would break off.

CF Notes

The process in which most of our carbon fiber reinforced plastic bits are made varies, depending on the piece being created, and what I what price point I want to be able to offer them at.

A fiberglass or aluminum mold or "tool" is created from our sample part. Before each piece is made, the tool needs to be polished, waxed, and has a release agent applied before the fabric and resin are applied and the tool is set aside to allow the piece to cure (harden). Most of our simple parts are made with the wet layup process, where the two-part resin is mixed and applied before being laid in the mold.

Another method used on the larger parts or parts with a more complex shape (like the Type-R style Wings) a compression mold. This is a two-piece (male and female) mold usually made out of fiberglass or aluminum that is bolted together with the fabric and resin between the two. The benefit is that the parts can be finished carbon/carbon on both faces, and the parts tend to be stronger and thinner and lighter. However, the tools are bulky and expensive to make and get in the way when you are not making that part.

Many of the Dali Racing carbon fiber reinforced plastic parts (CFRP or "CarbonGlass") are created with a single layer of carbon fabric for the look that you want, and then backfilled with fiberglass for added strength and reduced cost. Once a thin shell is created out of carbon fiber, fiberglass is used to uniformly coat the back of the piece. This can be done 2 ways depending on the shape of the part, a chopper gun (a pneumatic tool that cuts fiberglass from a roll and sprays resin at the same time) can be used to coat oddly shaped parts, or a sheet or sheets of the fiberglass material can be placed on top of the carbon layer. The pieces are then resprayed after curing with a glossy or semi-gloss clear coat on top for the final look. After the clear coat dries they may also be polished. Some fiberglass parts might be pre painted for you as well.

The 100% carbon bits are indicated as such in the product description, and tend to cost more. Non structural appearance parts will be made mostly of CFRP to save you $.

Well one reason might be that the 3rd brake light wiring comes out on the wrong side.... but if your glass is half full you could say that it comes out on the JDM side.
	Type-R Style Rear Wing: Dali: CF w/3rd brake light Not Priced Yet Just like the OEM 2003 Type-R rear wing but not really - Hand Made 100% CF by our hard working slaves. New free flat black "mini texture" paint job on all Type-R Style rear wings - just install and go! mounts in minutes with supplied hardware. Of course you can also paint it to match your car if you want. The FRP units tend to run ~ 6lbs each, a bit heavier than this one, but still 4-5lbs lighter than your OEM one. Forget about buying those new trunk struts - get this instead. (no 3rd brake light in this version)
